Inpatient driver passes at intersection, ignoring left turn hand gestures
26 Jun, 2021 - 5 years ago - on Oxford Avenue Van, sporting Company logo of local paying company pulls behind and briefly follows cyclists before getting impatient. Cyclists hand gesture left turn and move toward centerline to make left turn. As lead cyclist crosses yellow line for left turn, inpatient driver makes decision to pass, ignoring double yellow line, ignoring cyclists' hand signal, and ignoring cars at intersection, almost striking lead cyclist that initiated turn. After incident, we contacted Company and learned the driver was on her way to a birthday party and didn't know what the hand signals meant.
