Some tool turned right in front of me on the NYC Greenway... a very nice bike path along the Hudson river. Clearly this idiot was in his own world not even looking before turning. ***WARNING*** If you have any interest in riding in NYC beware!!! E-bikes, both legal and illegal, e-scooters, both legal and illegal, are running rampant in the city. Citibike e-bike riders are super dangerous. They have no concept of safety. No helmets. Ride wherever they want as fast as they can. I've been riding in NYC for 15 years when there were only a few e-bikes for delivery people. No e-scooters at all. Only had to watch for cars/trucks/buses. Just people pushing the pedals. Now... forget it. I learned to despise them. Just last week I passed a crash between two scooters and an ebike. Ambulance taking away one of the victims. This is a daily occurance now. Just checkout the emergency room stats! I was lucky this time... no injuries. Be super careful in NYC!!! You've been warned!.
